Cutskills (“Cutskills”, “we”, “us”) provides a Chrome extension that analyzes user-selected job description text and returns a structured skills report. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

Summary: Our service is designed to store extracted skills + metadata (like source URL and job title), and not the full raw job description text.

1) Information we collect

A. Account information

Email address (used for Magic Link authentication and account communication).
Account identifiers (e.g., user ID in our database).

B. Analysis data (skills + metadata)

Extracted technical skills and soft skills.
Metadata inferred from the analysis flow:

Job title and Source URL.
Timestamps.
Plan tier (Free/Starter) and usage/quota counters.

C. Payment information

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full payment card details on our servers; we only store billing status, Stripe Customer IDs, and transaction references.

2) How we use your information

To provide core features: generating skill reports and maintaining your history.
To manage quotas (e.g., the 100-analysis limit for Starter plans).
To provide support and handle subscription management via the Customer Portal.

3) Data Retention & Sharing

We share data only with essential processors. For payments, we use Stripe, which has its own privacy policy. We do not sell or rent your data to third parties. Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time.
